Mon 7th September 2020
I hope you all managed to have a lovely summer – wherever you spent it and whatever you did. It seems hard to believe that we are starting another new academic year – but we are very excited to see the children back in school full time this week – we have missed you all.
A very special welcome to our new Reception Class children (and parents!) starting your learning journey with us at St. Andrew’s – you are all very welcome!
There will be some changes and some necessary adaptations to life in school at the moment - but we will manage (as we always do) and the children will still receive their entitlement in terms of the curriculum time. There will also be a focus on mental health and positive well-being. Fortunately we are an established iTIPS School (Islington Trauma Informed Practices in Schools) so we are ready and prepared for this time of transition.
Please check the term dates and additional information that has been sent to you and which is also on this website. If you have any questions please get in touch with the school office at email@example.com or ring on 020 7837 4049 between 8.00 am and 4.30 pm Mon-Fri.
Don’t forget – Matilda Street is now part of the Islington School Streets scheme so the road will be closed to vehicles Mon-Fri during term time from 8.15-9.15 am and from 3.00-3.45 pm. This information has been emailed to all parents.
Take care everyone. Here’s to a good school year!
With my prayers and best wishes,
‘And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’
