Run Kids Run - Islington 2022
We have signed up to Run Kids Run - Islington 2022.
This fundraising event will take place on Sunday 3rd July on Highbury Fields (see accompanying picture). The link to fundraise and sponser your child is https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/367386481857
By participating the school will receive a £5,000 donation from the event's corporate sponsors and any money that the participating children raise though their own sponsorship.
There will be four races - 1) Reception (who need to run with their parents), 2) Year One and Two race, 3) Year Three and Four race and 4) Year Five and Six race.
Each race is 2km (consisting of laps of a course set up on Highbury Fields).
We will need volunteers to attend on the day - to run our registration desk (ticking off our children and handing them their corresponding bib number), a first aider for our children and a few others to marshal the event. Ideally 10 volunteers from school (this can include parent volunteers).
There are 14 schools taking part - so all the Year Ones and Twos from the 14 schools will be in the same race for example.
Ideally, we need around 70 children to sign up and take part (roughly 10 from each class). Details of how the children sign up and how they collect sponsorship money will be released in due course.
If you are able to come and volunteer, please let me know. All participants and volunteers need to be there by 10am and the event should be completely finished by 11:30am.
